Graduation is coming up and the school year is just about over, but for several local high school sports teams, the season continues.

Amarillo High, Bushland and Gruver baseball teams and the Bushland softball team are all still alive the in the playoffs and are hoping the season lasts a few more weeks.

The Sandies will play in the Regional Semifinals this week against Colleyville Heritage. The first two games of the series will be played at Moffett Field in Snyder on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m.  If a third game is needed, it will take place at Lubbock Cooper High School on Saturday at 7 p.m.

In the 4A Regional Semifinals, the Bushland baseball team faces Iowa Park. All games will be played at Hays Field on the Lubbock Christian University campus.

The series starts tonight at 7 p.m with game two on Friday at 2 p.m., followed by game three if necessary.

The Gruver Greyhounds will take on the Hawley Bearcats in the 1A regional semifinals at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview.

The opener is set for Thursday at 5 p.m. and continues on Saturday at 2 p.m.

After Canyon lost last weekend, the Bushland softball team is the lone team from the area still playing.

The Lady Falcons meet Vernon in a best of three game series at Plainview High School. Game one is today at 5 p.m. Game Two won't take place until Saturday at 4 p.m. followed by game three if necessary.
