So this was a head scratcher. I had to verify that this was for real. The post I originally saw on Facebook made me chuckle. It is Homecoming season here in the Texas Panhandle. Oh and it's a big deal in Texas.

We do Homecoming right. We have mums and garters for the students. It seems to be really a big Texas tradition. When I mention it to my friends back home they look at me strange. Mums? Garters? For a football game? Oh it's a thing. It really is.

Oh and the cost for these can be outrageous. You can make them as big as you want. Really they can be hundreds of dollars. This is where making them yourself can be a big money saver. Places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels are a great go to place. Try to go down the Homecoming isle on a Saturday. It is almost impossible.

That is where this craziness was spotted. The Homecoming Mum isle at Hobby Lobby. Did the Canyon Eagles change their mascot? What is an eages? I had to Google it. Yes, I know it was just a typo. You would think whoever made these ribbons would have caught this. I mean there is spellcheck. Someone would have to notice before it hit the shelves.

Oh and now that they were on the shelves you would think someone at Hobby Lobby would notice. Even when I Googled eages.....it still brought me to anything eagles related. So it had to come up in spell check as a typo. What is Hobby Lobby going to do with a bunch of ribbon with eagles spelled incorrectly? Will they be shipped to where the losing Super Bowl team shirts and merchandise get shipped to after the game? Will they be thrown out?

Has any poor mom already bought these ribbons without noticing? These are the questions that keep me up at night.
