It was just a couple of weeks ago that I wrote about some of the best food trucks you can find in Amarillo. I mean, after all, it seems Amarillo is a burgeoning place for the trucks at the moment.

Well, it turns out I wasn't the only one who noticed the 806 was popping with those food trucks, as WTEC has now jumped in to help make things even better for those food truck owners.

WTEC, also known as the WT Enterprise Center, is hosting a food truck meet-up on Wednesday, Nov. 16th.

While that sounds like an incredible thing for us to partake in, it's not exactly what you think it is. This is a chance for the food truck owners in the area to check out the WT Enterprise Center facilities and talk to them about how WTEC can help them produce even better quality items.

Adam Jiwa, marketing manager/coach for the WT Enterprise Center said, "Often food truck owners have to prep their products in the confines of the mobile kitchen. We have kitchen facilities that can be utilized by owners so that they can continue to produce safe, quality food products for their customers.”

So why would something like this be beneficial to food truck owners? Keep in mind, food trucks typically have a very limited space in which to cook and prepare things, and sometimes things can take a bit longer than they'd want because of their limitations.

The WTEC has two commercial kitchens that can be utilized by these food truck owners and already serves as a food production space for several different companies.

With nearly 200 food trucks on file with the City of Amarillo, there's no question some out there could be interested in making their life a bit easier.
