Do You Have A Tornado Shelter, Storm Tips, And More From The Erwin Pawn Tradio Show

Severe weather preparedness was the big topic on Saturday's Erwin Pawn Tradio Show.

Tornadoes ravaged the country to the east of us on Thursday and Friday.  It seemed like a good time to discuss it whilst bringing buyers and sellers together on The Erwin Pawn Tradio Show.

Out Big Question of the show was: Do you have a storm shelter?  I was quite surprised by the results.  35 said no, 11 said yes.  Many of the no's said they counted on a neighbor's shelter.  That presents a false sense of security.  When the time comes that is what you won't have; time.  I highly recommend that if you have the means, get one.  Skip the summer vacation and budget for a storm shelter.  It might save your life.

Rule #6 played into the severe weather theme.  I remember a couple seasons ago when a funnel cloud rolled right over my apartment.  I didn't have anywhere to go and was at a loss as to what to do.  One important thing I did was get dressed, specifically my socks and shoes.  If a structure is destroyed around you and you survive you'll be in dire straits if your shoes got blown away.

Rule #6 - Get dressed during severe weather.
