Buffalo Football Ready to Report as the 2018 Season Approaches
West Texas A&M second year head football coach Hunter Hughes and his staff have announced WT’s preseason practice schedule heading into the 2018 season.
Student-athletes report to campus on Sunday afternoon with team meetings on Sunday and Monday followed by practices beginning on Tuesday, August 7th at 2 p.m. inside of the Buffalo Sports Complex. Practices are open to the fans.
The Buffs will hit the field at 2 p.m. during the first week from August 7-11 before transitioning to morning practices starting at 8:30 a.m. beginning on Monday, August 13th that will last until Friday, August 24th. All practices will take place at the Football Practice Fields on campus except for Saturday, August 18th and Saturday, August 25th which will be at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium.
The Buffs return 33 letterwinners along with 12 starters.
WT will host five home games in their final season at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium before opening up Buffalo Stadium on-campus in 2019. The Buffs travel to Azusa Pacific for their 2018 season opener on September 1st before hosting Oklahoma Panhandle State on September 8th.
