
New Ordinance In Amarillo On Microchipping Pets Passes First Reading
More change is coming at the embattled Amarillo Animal Control & Welfare.
The Amarillo city council has been working diligently to resolve many issues at Amarillo Animal Control & Welfare. They had a meeting yesterday on a new ordinance that addresses one issue facing the department.
The new ordinance would require microchipping of impounded or adopted dogs. The ordinance passed on it's first reading 5-0. The ordinance was recommended by the Animal Welfare & Management board.
