High Plains Food Bank Receives Sizable Donation
The High Plains Food Bank is one of the area's key resources for families in need. They have become especially important as inflation has driven up costs across the city. In times of increased need, even the HPFB can use a helping hand, and yesterday they received just that.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints delivered a substantial donation of goods to the High Plains Food Bank. The donation was one of the four they make each year.
According to Zivorad Filipovic, the Director of Marketing and Communications, "This donation comes at a time when more neighbors in our community need food assistance, and this donation will continue to alleviate hunger in the Texas Panhandle."
The High Plains Food Bank website lists numerous ways they can provide assistance as well as ways for the community to become involved in their mission.
