Tuesday just before lunch a DPS Trooper pulled over 2016 Mazda CX-5.

The stop was executed on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation.  During the stop the Trooper decided to call in a canine unit to check the vehicle.  The canine unit alerted on the vehicle and a more intense search was made.

During the search the Trooper discovered several vacuum sealed bags of marijuana hidden inside a speaker box.  The pot is worth an estimated $303,000.

The driver, Michael Pham, 26, from Oakland, Ca. and his passenger, Jimmy Wong, 25, from San Francisco were both arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana.  They were both booked into Carson County Jail.

The drugs were allegedly from San Francisco being transported to Memphis, Tennessee.
