Claude School Board Votes to Begin the Move to Six-Man Football
Another Texas Panhandle High School will be making the move from 11-man football to the six-man game, more out of necessity than choice.
The Claude school board voted unanimously 6-0 Monday night to begin the process of making the move from 11-man football to 6-man football.
During the meeting, school officials said the high school football team has 13 players committed to play heading into the 2018 season.
The process includes petitioning the district and the University Interscholastic League for permission to make the move. If approved, the team would have to play an outlaw schedule for the upcoming season, which begins in one month.
