UPDATE Friday, June 26, 2020 - 4:19pm:

The female subject was barricaded in her Georgia Villa apartment. Amarillo Police attempted to serve a warrant for her arrest, APD was notified of a gun in the home. After an hour of negotiation, the female subject ran out of her apartment and attempted to get in her vehicle. Amarillo Police then fired a taser at the female and were able to handcuff her. According to APD, the female will be transported to the hospital to get checked out for injuries.

According to the report:

On June 26th, APD officers attempted to serve two felony warrants on an 18 year old female at an apartment in the 3000 block of SW 58TH Avenue. The female opened the door and pointed a firearm at the officers and then closed the door. Officers attempted to get the female to come out of the apartment, but she refused. The Amarillo Police Department Critical Incident Reaponse Team was called to assist in the situation. At 4:10 PM, the female exited the residence and attempted to run to a nearby vehicle. The female was taken into custody by members of the Amarillo Police Department SWAT team. No injuries have been reported from the incident. The name of the suspect will be released once she has been booked into jail.

Friday, June 26, 2020 - 3:32pm:

The Amarillo Police Department Critical Incident Response Team has responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of SW 58TH on a barricaded subject with felony warrants. Officers have Danny Street blocked off and are asking anyone in the area of the apartment complex to stay inside until the incident has ended.

A negotiator is on the scene working to get the subject out of the Georgia Villas apartment complex.
