I love to cook. It's actually one activity that I really enjoy. I especially love learning about new foods and combinations. There is not a whole lot of foods that I do not like. I also like to find new dishes that are healthy.

Hello Fresh is one of those meal prep kits that I order from a lot. I have tried others but the choices of food seems to be a lot more to my liking. With Hello Fresh I learn how to cook with ingredients I have never before like ginger.  After making a dish from Hello Fresh I have learned how to use it....and I find myself buying it when I head to Market Street. Learning new ways to cook is a big plus.

I spent a lot of time during the pandemic trying new recipes. I realized the other day that it has been a while since I ordered. So I looked through the upcoming menus and saw one that I really wanted to order. It had a couple meals I already made and knew I loved. So I have it scheduled in a couple weeks. Each one makes 2 servings. You can order a family plan as well that serves 4 people. Since I am just cooking for myself I end up having lunch for the next day too.

If you haven't tried Hello Fresh here is how you can get a great discount and try it for yourself. HERE is your $40 savings to try it yourself. When I opened up the box it has pretty much all the supplies you need. The only things they don’t provide is the oil, salt and pepper. They figure we all have that on hand.

It comes with the recipes, the meat, and a bag of produce with any spices or anything needed for the recipe. They always give just enough so there is not wasting anything.

Southwest Stuffed Zucchini

Southwest Stuffed Zucchini Boats Wow the taste of the Southwest meets healthy eating in this meal. This is fabulous. It's my third meal in a row that has cilantro as well. So I am in love. It has all the greatness with guacamole, sour cream and cheese. I love the pico de gallo that I got to make to go with it. This one takes 5 minutes to prep. A total of 35 minutes to cook. It only has 670 calories. You would not think it was that low in calories with all the yumminess I mentioned oh, but it is. This has been one of my favorite meals so far.

Zucchini & Tomato Flat Bread

Oh wow this has got to be my favorite dish of the week. They have all been good. There is just something about a flatbread pizza. This one didn't even have any meat and I didn't miss it. It took 10 minutes to prep, 25 minutes to cook and won the week with the fewest calories. It came in at 510 per serving. Oh and the serving was a great size. It had Ricotta Cheese, zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, basil. It was topped with chili flakes and honey. Ooh my my.

I will also be trying two new recipes. I am going to try the Middle Eastern Steak & Rice Pilaf and Creamy Pesto Grilling Cheese Cibattas. I have tried using their grilling cheese before and really loved it. I can’t wait for this deliver at the end of the month.

So Hello Fresh has got to be my favorite go-to. I spent less on these 8 meals (for dinner and lunch the next day) than I did this past weekend at the grocery store. If you like to cook and trying new recipes you will love this too.
