Another Division One transfer is headed to Canyon to play for the West Texas A&M Lady Buff basketball program.

Tennessee State University transfer Tiana Parker is a 6-4 forward who will come to WT as a junior and have two years of eligibility for the Lady Buffs.  She played two years for Tennessee State seeing action in 50 games with 20 starts. She joins North Dakota State transfer Megan Gamble and three freshman recruits in a strong recruiting class for WT.
 - The West Texas A&M women’s golf team continued to lead the NCAA West Regional at Wichita Falls Country Club. The Lady Buffs combined for a second round score of 294 to take a 10-stroke lead heading into the final round today. The team need to finish in the top three to qualify for its second-straight NCAA National Championship berth and third in program history.
 - Canyon all-state basketball player Angel Hayden made it official on Tuesday, signing with Texas Tech.  Hayden is one of the most decorated players out of tradition rich Canyon, leading the Lady Eagles to four straight state championships and was the MVP of the state tournament the last three years. She went 28-0 in playoff games in her career at Canyon.  Hayden visited Tech last Monday and made her commitment less than 48 hours later. She will play for former Canyon High player Candi Whitaker who is now the head coach for the Lady Raiders.
- Danny Green scored seven of his 16 points in overtime, and the San Antonio Spurs overcame an injury to Kawhi Leonard to beat James Harden and the Houston Rockets 110-107 in overtime last night to take a 3-2 lead in their second-playoff series. Leonard had 22 points and 15 rebounds in 38 minutes before exiting with an injured right ankle.
 - Tonight, the Eastern Conference semifinal resumes with Washington at Boston for pivotal Game five. The best of seven series is even at two apiece.
 - Carlos Correa and Carlos Beltran hit consecutive homers during a five-run first inning and the Houston Astros cruised to an 8-3 win over the Atlanta Braves last night.
 - A.J. Griffin dominated his hometown team with a four-hitter for his second career shutout, and Joey Gallo and Ryan Rua homered in the Texas Rangers' 11-0 victory over the Padres yesterday.
