Every year around this time the Together We Can Food Drive comes around. I love this food and fund drive, it is so inspiring to see the community come together for a great cause.

From December 3rd through the 8th the High Plains Food Bank will be collecting donation to help feed people in need in the Texas Panhandle. This year their goal is to raise $200,000 and 150,000 pounds of food. This is a big number but it is incredible how far that $200,000 will actually go, a gift of just $1 helps buy four meals.

If they reach their goal this will make a significant impact on our area. The HPFB services seven million pounds of food to families in all 29 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

If you would like to donate this year you can drop off boxed or canned goods to any United Super Market in the Panhandle or you can donate online at www.hpfb.org/donate
