The Panhandle Gives in Big Ways During November
Every November we are ready for a lot of greatness coming our way. We know that we will see No Shave November kick off. We will also see the countless number of posts from our friends telling us what they are thankful for this month.
Of course we also have Thanksgiving to look forward too. All that food and family time. Then the whole kickoff to the holiday season starts. We will busily do our shopping and planning for other holiday goodness.
The Panhandle Gives is back
In the middle of all of this we have The Panhandle Gives that will kick off. It is a little bit over a week of giving to our favorite non profits. The Amarillo Area Foundation work long and hard on this all year long. Oh and it is always such a great success.
This year looks to be no different. The campaign kicks off on Monday, November 22nd and will conclude on The National Day of Giving. Known as Giving Tuesday. That falls on Tuesday, November 30th. So we have time to get ready and do our part.
The best thing is that the money we give helps out even more during The Panhandle Gives. According to the Amarillo Area Foundations website:
One hundred percent of all donations raised by the organizations are kept by that organization. In addition, each participating organization that raises at least $250 during the campaign receives a percentage match of the total amount of the Amplification Fund. The Amplification Fund is made up of money given from foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors and was established by AAF to AMPLIFY the amount of money participating organizations receive during the campaign.
So the goodness in your heart and the money that you give will go even further. You will be able to go online HERE when the campaign starts to donate. You can also go to several local banks in the Panhandle to give as well. However you plan on donating make sure you help those in need this holiday season.
