The Texas Panhandle has maintained an economic boom throughout the past decade. Several industries have taken root in the area and have given traction to several of the region's largest employers.

In the face of an increased demand for higher pay by prospective employees and skilled workers by employers, the Workforce Solutions Panhandle has partnered with the City of Amarillo to organize a monumental hiring event. Well over 80 of the area's major employers will be present at the Spring Amarillo Job Fair.

There will be various opportunities for in-person interviews for positions that range from entry level to professional. Both part-time and full time positions in technical, healthcare, management, production, customer service, sales, and secretarial/clerical areas.

According to an informational release from WSP, employers who will be present at the Job Fair will include national brands, nonprofits, fast-growing startups, and local flagship brands. Some employers attending include Xcel Energy, the City of Amarillo, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Phillips 66, Pantex, BSA Health System, among still others.
