It was business as usual Saturday morning on The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon.

It’s the show that invites you to list for sale the stuff you no longer need but still has value.  We do it every Saturday morning and you’re always invited.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their listing.  It helps us get to know them better and provides a running theme that ties together all our calls.

Being Tri-State Fair week we were curious if you would be taking in the festivities.

Are you going to the Tri-State Fair?

Yes 12

No 23

I was a little surprised at the result.  I expected the fair to be a bit more popular on the show but that’s why we ask.  We just had to know.

RULE #6

We go over the rules of the program at the beginning of each hour.  It helps everyone stay on the same page and informed how the show works.  Along with the five regular rules of conduct on the show, I always bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week and is usually inspired by something that happened to me over the previous week.

I’m on Facebook.  I don’t do a lot of posting.  But I do see a regular daily dose of food pictures.  Although I would do this only in the rarest of circumstances, I don’t have a big issue with those that do.  That is provided the food being pictured isn’t already half eaten.

I saw a post last week of someone’s homemade bean dip.  It had a hearty cheese topping.  And it was half eaten, revolting and disgusting.  I thought it would make for a good rule.

Rule #6 Don’t post pictures of half-eaten food to Facebook.

We hope to hear from you during the next Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon!
