Are you in need of a little luck of the Irish? I feel like we could all use a bit. We are finally getting everything back to normal. It took a few years. So now more than ever we need to celebrate.

Shamrock is back to hosting their normal celebration after a break last year. They will have their big party this weekend. Their fun starts on Friday but I bet a few of the folks will feel like kicking it off a little early since St. Patrick's Day actually falls on Thursday this year.

Do You Wear Your Green?

I make it a habit to grab something green every year to wear. It's my favorite color so it doesn't seem like too hard of a job. The tradition is to wear green or get yourself pinched. Depending on who is doing the pinching that doesn't seem like a bad deal.

Food and More Food

St. Patrick's Day has some traditional food associated with it as well. Corned Beef and cabbage is definitely the first thing most people association with the day. If you don't make it yourself you can definitely head to Beef O'Brady's to get your fix. Don't forget to have yourself a glass of green beer. A strange but yes St. Patrick's Day thing to do.

A new thing I learned about this year is Blarney Stones. According to Yolo's Restaurant they are traditional Irish treats. Delicious sweet cakes frosted and coated with roasted peanut mix.

They made them for pre-order but you may be able to get one or two today, if you are nice.

Don't Forget Your Lucky Charms

Though, I am not just talking about the cereal. There is that too.

There are also several Irish things that are thought to bring you luck. You need to look for a 4-leaf clover for starters. Maybe carry around a rabbits foot. Or maybe have a Shamrock shake from McDonald's.

You Can Finish the Day with a Good Irish Movie

Or at least a movie or two with some great Irish actors. There are several to choose from. You can head to Ireland with Amy Adams and watch "Leap Year". I am ok watching “PS I Love You.”  Yes it’s a romantic comedy...but it is in Ireland and it has Gerard Butler for the win.

Or if you want to go the opposite of that nothing beats the "Taken" franchise. I mean Liam Neeson is as Irish as they get. You can have a great St. Patrick's Day at home or go out.

Just remember everyone is a little Irish today.
