When you hear the words Winter is Coming for most people it brings to mind Game of Thrones.  However, that's not the case for this tidbit.  Amarillo could very well see snowfall in the next few weeks.

We are finally to that time of year where Winter will start making it's way into the Panhandle.   However, rumor has it that we will see a milder winter for the Texas Panhandle, but we might also see some snow in the next few weeks.

According to our friends at KAMR and Meteorologist Chris Martin,

"So what we're expecting with La Nina in general across the High Plains means drier weather. So not nearly as much snow as we would see during an average year. Warmer daytime temperatures" said Chris Martin, Meteorologist.

Chris also said that we can expect to see temperatures get to zero or below.  He also said that will less moisture this winter it could potentially create a bad wildfire season.

So with that said, are you excited about a mild winter or do you love snow?
