It's going to be that crazy time of the year soon. We will be running from store to store trying to get our holiday's lined up. We will be shopping for food. We will be shopping for presents. It just gets to be so crazy.

Black Friday will be here before you know it. Then there will be Small Business Saturday. Both of those will be followed up with Cyber Monday. That is when a lot of people will be shopping online.

If you are one of those that can have your packages delivered to you at work, great. If you are not then you can be in for some hurt. Of course when people are getting so much stuff mailed to their homes there is a chance for stuff to go missing.

I'm not talking about a package accidentally being delivered to the wrong house or apartment. No, I mean those porch pirates. It has gotten so bad that we have had to come up with a term for what they are.

We end up seeing people post videos of people stealing from their porch and asking if anyone knows who they are. You will probably see several of them this year. You can avoid becoming that victim. Potter County Sheriff's Office wants to help you out.

You can have your packages shipped to them. Who is going to try to steal a package from them? Nobody. So your stuff will be delivered and you can pick them up with no worries.

All you have to do is have the packaged addressed to you, make sure it is your name on the package. Then use this address to ship everything to: 13103 NE 29th Amarillo, TX 79111.

They will then store your packages for you. According to Potter County Sheriff's Office:

We will store the packages in a locked room and you can come out here to get them. We are open from 8am to 4pm Monday-Friday. If you come after 4 or on the weekends you will have to call 806-379-2900 and advise dispatchers you are here so they can let you in to get your package.

So you can feel safe this holiday season and know that none of your presents will be stolen this year. That is some stress relief right there.
