Have you ever been able to explore a museum at night? Things just look so much different. It seems like it could be even more fun. That is what the Panhandle Plains Museum in Canyon is offering this year.

How about a night to get the family and bring your flashlights and just explore. I feel that everything will just have a chance to look so much different. I think it would be pretty cool. So this is an event scheduled for June 11th. There are even different time slots so that there will still be the opportunity to social distance.

From their Facebook page:

See the museum in a fun way, AT NIGHT, at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum after hours event, Night at PPHM. For one night only, tour the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in the dark to see what comes to life at Night at PPHM.

Role players and storytellers will come to life in all areas of PPHM to show visitors what life was like on the Panhandle Plains during several decades in history. The event is not designed to be scary, unless you are afraid of the dark; it’s an opportunity for patrons to explore the museum in the dark and talk to characters within the exhibits.
Bring your family and flashlights to enjoy PPHM after dark. Cost is $10 for adults and PPHM members, $5 for kids 4-12 and free for kids under 4. This year we’re encouraging social distancing by implementing a timed ticket. Time slots are an hour each at 6, 7, 8, & 9 PM. Make sure that you come for the time slot that you purchased and we can all have a fun and safe time.
You need to get your tickets soon as I think this will sell out. You can only purchase your tickets online. You can get them HERE. Pick your time and sign up now.
