Law Enforcment Agencies Team Up To Arrest 13 In Major Drug Ring

A major drug ring was busted up yesterday in Amarillo.

The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, working with the DEA and FBI have arrested 13 people on charges ranging from conspiracy to drug trafficking.

Those that were arrested are suspected of being memebers of the Gulf Cartel, a Mexican drug trafficking organization.

During the two year investigation, authorities seized $500,000 in cash, six firearms, 1.75 pounds of methamphetamine and 2.25 kilos of cocaine.
