One of those businesses came to Amarillo in 2018.  This business took over the York Tire building off 45th and Coulter.  This empty building was transformed into something incredible.

Pondaseta was a new brewing company that was moving into the Yellow City (was it called the Yellow City back in 2018, or is that a more recent nickname).  A couple of friends who used to play in a Texas Country Band decided they would open a brewery and instead of making music, they would make beer and lots of it.  They had already been doing home-brewing so this wasn't just something they did on a whim.  They took their love for craft beer and their passion for their hometown and opened up a place for making, crafting, and sharing their creation with the Texas Panhandle and the world.  Pondaseta has created over 150 craft beers since opening their doors in 2018.
