UPDATE: Here’s When Chez Sami Will Open In Downtown Lubbock

A great locally owned restaurant that is already a favorite of many is about to open in Downtown Lubbock. Chez Sami, which has built a loyal following in Wolfforth is expanding to a new, larger location in Lubbock and they are ready to take reservations.

According to a Facebook post on Thursday evening, Chez Sami Downtown is set to open on Tuesday, November 14th. The Lubbock location is at 1219 Crickets Avenue in Downtown Lubbock.

Chez Sami Downtown and Chef Jon Walter will offer the same items that fans have come to love at the original location in Wolfforth, along with an expanded menu. As of right now, Chez Sami Downtown will still be BYOB (there is a corkage fee per bottle) until they get their alcohol license. Personally, I love the BYOB experience, but I understand the desire to sell your own and have an extended bar menu. Plus, I could see Chez Sami Downtown do wine and other alcohol pairings with food in the future.

The addition of Chez Sami Downtown is great for continued growth of Downtown Lubbock. It adds another great option for those wanting an excellent meal from local owners. And don't worry, for those in Wolfforth and those wanting to continue to support the original location, it's not going anywhere as long as people are still going.
