So when you think of the FBI what do you think of? The government guys who are always watching? The good guys who keep us safe behind our backs? A mixed bag of good and bad?

This government agency is pretty well known, thanks to media and pop culture, but I bet if you asked the average person questions about them beyond the surface level about them,  any person may find themselves challenged.

So here's a question that I'm trying to find an answer to.

Does the FBI really have an office here in Amarillo?

I mean, you would think that it would be pretty obvious to most whether the FBI has an office or not in the city of Amarillo. I personally have never seen or heard of an FBI office in the city of Amarillo, but after a couple of twists and turns on Google I found this.

There's not much to find when you look up the term "FBI Amarillo" except for a few articles and a Google business page.

And according to this strange business page there, this "Federal Bureau of Investigation" office is located in Amarillo National Bank on 500 S Taylor St.

I found this page pretty strange considering the location, lack of information surrounding this supposed office, and the reviews of the place which are few but......odd.

So after searching for their number on Google I found a bunch of yellow page websites giving directions and information about the same place, which now had me convinced that this actually may be a legit FBI office in the city of Amarillo.

Finally, I decided to go to the FBI's official website where I searched Texas' FBI offices where I would find out that Amarillo indeed has a resident agency along with 11 other agencies across Texas.

Apparently, these agency covers all of Amarillo's nearby counties, which I previously was not aware of.

So hopefully this might make you feel more safe knowing that the FBI has some contact in the area of Amarillo.

Always Prepared: Check Out These Doomsday Bunkers in Texas

I'm not the kind of guy who believes that at any moment the whole of everything is going to go up in flames. If I was, and I had an extreme amount of disposable income, I would want to spend the apocalypse in one of these insane bunkers you can get right here in the Lone Star State.
