Good And Bad News For Another Small Business Closing In Amarillo.
When The Vault Gaming Center first opened, I was excited. It was great hearing that this type of business was going to be opening up. Now, there's both good and bad news for this small business in Amarillo.

What Is The Vault Gaming Center
In case you've been living under a rock for the past few years, The Vault Gaming Center was a place where people who enjoy video games could get together and play. They had a wide variety of consoles and setups, and were constantly doing events, tournaments, and lock-ins.
You could think of it as a lounge for video game enthusiasts; or as a modern arcade where the machines don't eat your quarters and there's no creepy guy behind a counter where you trade in tickets.
It was nice. It was fun. It's all over now.
The Vault Gaming Center Is Officially Closed
Through a series of social media posts, some of which are no longer around, The Vault Gaming Center made the announcement.
First, it was just that they were closing. Then, it was that there's something in the works. Now, we have an all encompassing post that explains it better.
Wait...There's A Gaming Arena Coming To The Area?
On March 1 of this year, The Vault Gaming Center posted this photo and all the caption says is that there's more info coming soon.
Could this have anything to do with the future plans? Either way, I'm definitely curious.
ESports are something that is becoming more widely accepted. When my wife and I got married in Vegas, we stayed next to their arena. It's in the Luxor. One of my best friends has a son who is on his school's ESports team, and is hoping to take it to the collegiate level.
Having an arena in the area would be great for kids looking to get involved in ESports. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for that more info that is coming soon.
