From The Moon To The Earth; Celebrating The First Picture Of Earth From The Moon

On August 23, 1966 we were treated to our first view of the earth from the moon courtesy of Lunar Orbiter I.

The robotic lunar surveyor was sent to the moon to map possible landing areas for the Apollo program.
