Growing up, all I ever wanted to do was become a professional baseball player.

Well as you can see, I didn't quite make it. However, I always wanted to stay a part of the game somehow.

Being a part of a team, whether it was broadcasting or operations is still something I dream of doing. I swear I eat, sleep and breathe baseball. It's probably the reason I became a youth baseball coach.

Well now you and I have a chance to be a part of something special. Your Amarillo Sod Poodles are holding job fairs to work with them this upcoming season! When I say I'm interested, I mean it. I'd take on another job if it meant getting to work for a baseball team, no question.

The Sod Poodles will be holding three different job fairs to fill positions all over the ballpark. Saturday, February 26 and Saturday, March 5 from 10am to 1pm and again on Tuesday, March 15 from 6-8pm are when you can land a job working in one of the best ballparks in America.

When I say you can find a job doing just about anything, I mean it. No, they aren't hiring for the coaching staff (unfortunately for me) and they're not holding open tryouts to be a player, but just about everything else is up for grabs.

Concessions, catering, stadium staff, retail associates, grounds crew, box office reps and production people. The production thing could be fun. They get to play all the silly videos you see on the scoreboard. Camera and replay operators are also a part of the production crew.

They even hiring Sod Squad members! You know, the people that shoot t-shirts out of high pressure gun and dance on the dugout? That could be you.

The one that really caught my eye, and maybe I'm a bit too old for this, but they even need BATBOYS!! You get to run baseballs to the umpire, grab the bats after a Soddie jacks a long ball and hang out in the dugout with the players during every single home game. Oh the inner child in me is screaming.
