Amarillo Man Arrested After Being Caught Inside Closed Civic Center

An Amarillo mas was arrested in early Wednesday on suspicion of breaking in to the Civic Center.

Police arrived on the scene and discovered a man inside, whom quickly fled the scene. The suspect forced his way into the Civic Center and proceeded to try to open a concession stand with a forklift.

When police spotted the subject leaving the building he was apprehended by the APD. His name is 33-year-old Christopher Stephen Beck.  He was booked into Potter County for burglary of a building.
