You found your dream home. It marks off everything on the checklist. It has the perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms. You love how the house has been updated. Oh the backyard is perfect. It's in your dream neighborhood.

Wait, Someone Died In This Home?

This home has everything I tell you. Oh, then you find out that it has more than you have bargained for. You do your research. This house has had someone die in it. OK...the older the home the chances are pretty good that is the case.

I mean if someone passes away in their sleep is that a deal breaker? How but I one up you. You found out that someone was murdered there. Does that change your answer?

With the internet you can find out a lot. You can pretty much search anything. I did a search to find out about homes in Amarillo that has had a murder, even recently. I mean these houses will come up for sale soon. Check it out HERE.

I even ran across a site called house creep. Where it lists some homes that have had murders and such in it. The list isn't very long so I am not sure I trust it so much. It is out there though.

Would I Live in a House That Had a Death or Murder?

I probably would be in the minority here. I would say, yes. Yes, I would. I know that makes me seem weird. Heck maybe I am. Some people say yes because they could use that information to get a good deal on the place. That may be true. I am all about a good deal.

I, though, would love to live in a house like that for the story. Just imagine the get togethers I could have. I can invite my friends over for dinner or a night of trivia and tell them about the family that was killed there.

I mean is that not a conversation starter? How about you? What would you do if you found a house like this? Could you live in a home that a murder happened in?
