Tyson Foods along with the High Plains Food Bank will be having a food box giveaway to help families and individuals struggling with food insecurity September 27 from 5pm to 6:30pm at Bethesda Outreach at 1101 Fritch Highway.

The partnership between Bethesda Outreach, Tyson Foods and The High Plains Food Bank will hand out free food boxes to help alleviate hunger. Each of the custom boxes will contain sixteen pounds of food broken down to four pounds of dry goods, six pounds of protein and six pounds of produce.

The distribution will be done via drive through to keep staff and volunteers safe. Recipients must remain in their vehicles as volunteers and staff will observe social distancing and use protective coverings. Recipients must have an ID card to receive the food box.

The High Plains Food Bank supplies food to 180 food pantries, soup kitchens, child care facilities, senior centers, half way houses, and other non-profits. We can provide about 5 meals for every dollar donated. Help us fight hunger in the Texas Panhandle.
