Trade-A-Thon Split On Football, Now Changing Alarm Every Fortnight

Saturday mornings around News Talk 940 we bring buyers and sellers together.

It’s Trade-A-Thon presented by Damron’s Pawn.  We do the show from nine to noon on Saturdays.  It’s your opportunity to announce on the air a classified listing.  We let you do it for free and we don’t make you audition.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their listing.  Not only does it help us get to know the caller better, it provides a theme that ties all the calls together.  Sometimes wacky and often topical, we look forward to the answers each week.

The NFL held Championship Sunday over the weekend.  It got us curious to whether you were going to be watching any football or not.

A sign of a good question is an even split and most folks were pretty decided on whether they cared for football or not.  Most that answered in the positive were also pulling for Minnesota.  Of course they lost.

RULE #6

We go over the rules of the show at the beginning of each hour.  Along with the five regular rules of conduct, I always bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week and is usually inspired by something that has happened to me over the previous week.

Two weeks ago I nearly slept through the show.  In investigating why I didn’t wake up  on time, I identified the culprit to be my cell phone alarm tone.  I had gotten used to it and had begun ignoring it.  Now I rotate the chime every two weeks and thought maybe you should too.

Rule #6 Change your cellphone alarm tone every two weeks.
