Wait…. We’re Not the Only Amarillo in The World?
Turns out we're not the only ones with the name Amarillo.
I was today years old when I found out that there are actually 3 other places across the world that share the name Amarillo.
So, without further ado let's visit and learn about our fellow yellow locations.
Amarillo, Honduras
In the Northeastern region of Honduras in a mountains region lies the populated place of Amarillo, Colon. Sadly due to the isolated nature of the region, there are absolutely no pictures of the area that I could find besides these satellite images of Amarillo.
Amarillo, Venezuela
Similar to Amarillo, Honduras this location may be a small village from what I can tell. If you are starting to see a pattern in these South American towns named Amarillo you are not alone. But unlike, our other location this Amarillo actually has some pictures and actually has a small facebook group that shares the lives of its residents.
Amarillo, Cuba
Finally, an Amarillo that isn't hidden away in the mountains. Looking at this one, all that I could find was the geographical location of this location. Besides that, all I can tell you is that following the nearby highway west will take you to a nearby town named Mòron that has a giant chicken statue.
So is it me or did it really seem like every other Amarillo doesn't have much in terms of population or presence? It really puts things into perspective when we look at our own Amarillo and by comparison, we just might be the best Amarillo in the world.
So next time you grow tired of Amarillo and think there's not much around here, just remember that we are the most exciting Amarillo in the world to live in.
