The Armstrong county jail in Claude shut its doors in 2022, but it's final fugitive is still on the run.

On the stretch of 287 between Claude and Clarendon you'll find Goodnight. There isn't much in the area, but a few miles out each direction you start seeing signs for Herd Wear Retail Store.

As you drive along the highways and roads of Texas, you will see windmills as far as the eye can see, producing energy for Texans. The view of those windmills as you pass through Claude and Armstrong County are about to become visible as far as the eye can see.

The Fourth of July was just a few days ago. A lot of us spent the day in Canyon. We enjoyed all of their festivities. If Amarillo isn't going to celebrate we will go to where the party is happening.

If you have ever traveled 287 going to Dallas, then you have driven through Claude, Texas. It's one of those small towns you blink and you miss it. However, deep in the heart of Claude are citizens who love their small town.

While scouring the Internet for info on the movie that's being worked on in the panhandle, I came across a little bit of trivia that I was unfamiliar with.

Hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg for what Sharpened Iron Studios has planned for the area.
