Here’s What’s New at the Amarillo Tri-State Fair this Year
The Amarillo Tri-State Fair is the highlight of the year in Amarillo. Families save all year round so they can come out and spend the week riding rides, eating corn dogs and funnel cakes, watching the rodeo, and having a blast. Others spend all year raising animals to show, perfecting recipes to enter, and creating art, hoping for that blue ribbon.
What's New at the 2026 Tri-State Fair
The area is geared up for over a week of fun. The Amarillo Tri-State Fair will kick off on Friday, September 18, and many of your favorites will return.
A New 10th Day and VIP Parking
The biggest change this year is that the Amarillo Tri-State Fair is adding a 10th day. Usually the fair lasts from Friday to Saturday, a total of nine days. This year, the fair will last for an extra Sunday, ending September 27. This day is Family Fun Day, $35 Sunday Funday bands that include gate admission and ride wristband, or $2 individual rides.
Paid VIP Parking is something new this year. The fair has always offered paid parking at gate 4, but this year, they are offering special VIP parking close to the gate. Prices vary per day ranging from $20 to $25.

New Acts and Attractions
The Accidental Acrobats is a new attraction this year. This duo out of Austin, Texas will acrobatically dance their way into your hearts with their fire-filled show.
Fiesta De Charros Rodeo Comes to the Fair
Fiesta De Charros Rodeo is new to the Tri-State Fair. This event will take place on Sunday, September 20 at 3 pm. The event will pay tribute to the Mexican vaquero heritage with Escaramuza Charra dancing horses, Cala de Caballo, folkloric dancers and more.

Daily Events to Know About
Every night at 7 pm there will be an Evening Ag-Tivity in the Rex Baxter Building. It's a new demonstration each night. Demonstrations include needlepoint, horseback riding, roping, and more.
On Monday, September 21, they are having the Chow-down Showdown food eating competition. The event will take place on Stage 1923 at 6:30 pm.
