This Amarillo location has seen many businesses over the years, and some of those businesses brought on heartbreak when they closed. The building in question is located at 4206 SW 45th Ave and is bright yellow.

Past Restaurants That Made This Amarillo Spot Famous

The most recent business in this location was Good Day Burritos, but they moved down 45th closer to I-27. Before Good Day Burritos, it was our beloved Oscar's Burritos that closed when the owner retired.

However, Oscar Soto, the famed owner of Oscar's Burritos, still owns this quaint yellow building. When Good Day Burritos moved, the building was once again empty. Rumors of a new business began swirling, and the for-rent signs came down in July.

Caudillo’s Mexican Food Plans for Amarillo

We reached out to Soto to see what new business would be moving into this space, and he shared with us that it was another Mexican food restaurant called Caudillo's Mexican Food.

Hours and What Locals Can Expect

They are open Monday - Saturday from 7 am - 8 pm and Sunday from 8 am - 3 pm. They are officially open for business.

Another great local small business that will definitely be serving up some great food.

Amarillo’s Growing Retail Scene Around Teckla

Caudillo's will be joining a long line of businesses that once called this space home.  Not only that, they have a brand new shopping center next door that will soon be home to many businesses.
