The one thing that the world will never be rid of is trash. Trash is a problem in every single city across the US and even the world. Amarillo deals with trash issues, and recently, the trash problem has caused issues in Borger.

Every single city fights the curse of illegal dumping.

What is Illegal Dumping?

The unlawful disposal of waste in unauthorized locations like roadsides, vacant lots, waterways, or even someone else's dumpster, often to avoid fees or because proper disposal is inconvenient

Illegal dumping causes eyesores and is just lazy on the part of the dumper. Most of the time, it's left for the property owner or the city to deal with.

Why People Still Dump Trash Illegally

Most people illegally dump their trash and construction garbage because they don't want to pay the fees that are associated with the large dumps.

The Shocking 3,200 Pound Case in Keeler Heights

Our most recent incident captured on camera involved over 3,200lbs of waste "casually" dumped in the Keeler Heights area.

Who thinks it is OK to dump 3,200 pounds of garbage in a neighborhood?  When did we just stop caring?  When did people's conscience just stop working?  You can't tell me these people dumping this much trash didn't think, "Hey, we probably shouldn't be doing this?" Luckily, they have the trashy deed on video and can move forward with prosecution.

Borger residents, the next time you think about dumping your trash illegally, please think again and consider your neighbors. If you're a business and are dumping this type of trash, shame on you. If you cannot afford to pay the fees, you shouldn't be in business. You're probably already charging your clients the disposal fees, so use them to dispose of your trash properly.

When you illegally dump, you are causingproperty owners to follow the law to clean up your mess.  You're taking city employees away from important maintenance projects to clean up the mess.  You are polluting the city and making it look like trash, and you're wasting taxpayers' dollars.
