Here’s All the Holiday Events Happening in Amarillo and Canyon

It's that time of year in Amarillo and Canyon when everyone is getting into the holiday spirit. That means holiday events. Now through the end of the year, you can find something to do every single weekend.

How Can You Plan Your Holiday Weekends in Amarillo?

It's time to start planning your weekends. Pick a weekend for holiday shopping, then pick another weekend to see all the lights, then save one for an art event like the ballet or symphony.

Luckily, Amarillo has several holiday markets where you can stock up on gifts, decorations, crafts, and holiday attire.

These holiday events are also filled with family fun, from Christmas lights to ballets to concerts. There is no shortage of entertainment this season.

Some of my favorite events during the holiday season are walking through Maxwell's Amarillo Lights or the Amarillo Botanical Gardens with my family, making memories.

Don't miss out on holiday fun. While many of these events do cost money, look for events that are free, like the Canyon Farmers Market, Merry Market, or the Wolflin Square and Village Holiday Open Houses. You can find a ton of fun in one spot.

Can You Hit Amarillo and Canyon Events in One Weekend?

There are festive events in both Amarillo and Canyon; you can hit up the Merry Market during the day, then catch Maxwell's Amarillo Lights in the evening. Or you can watch the Center City Electric Light Parade in Amarillo on Friday and then the Canyon Light Parade on Saturday.

That's the great thing about the holidays: you can always keep yourself and your family busy with fun events.
