If you are a fan of Halloween and everything that goes along with it, you probably want to be in New York City or Las Vegas. According to a WalletHub study, those two cities rank #1 and #2 for "Best Places to Go for Halloween".

I've been to Las Vegas on Halloween and it is absolutely crazy. A lot of fun, a lot people in great costumes, but mix in the Las Vegas craziness and you have something really special. In Texas, Laredo is the best city to visit for Halloween according to WalletHub. Laredo ranked #19 out of 100 cities across the United States.

On the flip side, if you aren't a big fan of Halloween then you should be in Birmingham, Alabama which came in dead last at 100. Or perhaps, you should be in Lubbock.

That's right. Lubbock, Texas was ranked at #86 out of 100. In Texas, Lubbock came in last place. Corpus Christi was ranked #74 which isn't too far behind, but one would think Lubbock wouldn't be that bad.

So why is Lubbock so bad for Halloween? It appears as though trick-or-treating really had an impact on Lubbock. Lubbock placed #81 in trick-or-treating friendliness. Lubbock's Halloween fun was around #65 and Lubbock's Halloween weather came in at #59. Which makes sense because some Halloween's can be hot while others can be cold.

Personally, I wonder if the amount of Trunk-or-Treating events has had an impact on the overall "Halloween Fun" for Lubbock.

Here's how other Texas cities ranked:

#19: Laredo, #34: Irving, #36: Garland, #38: Plano, #45: Arlington, #46: El Paso, #49: Dallas, #63: Fort Worth, #64: Houston, #65: Austin, #68: San Antonio, #74: Corpus Christi
