A Thursday morning traffic stop turned into much more than a moving violation.

Just before lunch on Thursday a DPS trooper stopped a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica on I-40 near Conway in Carson County.

During the stop a search of the vehicle revealed several cellophane wrapped bundles of methamphetamine inside the fender wells.  The meth weighed over 16 pounds.

The occupants of the Chrysler were identified as Mario Jesus Perez-Sanchez, 28 and Misael Ramon Meneses-Lozano, 30, both of Springdale, MO.

They were both booked into the Carson County jail on felony possession charges.
