AMSTERDAM (AP) — A Delta flight bound for Detroit from Paris has landed safely in Amsterdam with no injuries after being diverted due to a technical problem.

Pilots of Delta Flight 99 reported difficulty retracting flaps shortly after takeoff, Delta said in a statement Wednesday. The plane was an Airbus 330 with 298 passengers and 11 crew. The airline said the landing at Schipol Airport was "uneventful" and passengers are being rerouted.

The aircraft is being inspected, the airline said.
