I wasn't sure what to expect when I received a phone call Saturday morning around 8:30 am.  "Lori, Aaron Watson canceled."  I was shocked but knew that the hardworking City of Borger folks had poured their heart, soul, and countless hours of their time into this event.

Yes, we were sad about Aaron Watson canceling, but my gosh.  The event was spectacular.

The food trucks were busy all night.   I just want to give a shout-out to Caleb with HteaO in Borger.  He stopped by the booth and introduced himself and brought the crew some tea.  What a nice guy, friendly and so excited about being in Borger!

They were able to get another band on very short notice to kick off the show and then moved everyone else up the list.

Rack 45 opened the day with some amazing music from the '90s and early 2000s.  We had a great time rocking out to this band.

Then The Band Monarch took the stage, and I will say this if you have a chance to go see these amazing young adults perform.  GO!  I have a feeling, they are going to shoot to the top and soon.  They are amazing. They had a great mix of rock, pop, and country.

Then, came the headliner, even though they were supposed to be the opener, they definitely deserve headliner status.  Chad Miller and the Good Fortune country rocked the evening.  Heck, I even hit the dance floor, err, the dance parking lot.

Then as the last notes of the concert hit, the fireworks exploded in the sky.

It was a fun evening and it was worth the drive to Borger.  Borger, you were a delight!  Thank you for welcoming us with open arms and friendship,  we cannot wait to be back.

To the City of Borger, you put on an amazing show and we cannot wait to be back with you next year.

If you missed it, here are some photos to enjoy.
