If you are wondering what the People's Convoy was, well it was over 1,000 semi-trucks that are headed to Washington D.C. from all different parts of the country. Their mission? To try and get all mandates wrapped around COVID-19 lifted for the country.

One of the reasons for the convoy, was "Peace, Love and Unity". It rolled into Amarillo on Saturday morning and it was a beautiful sight.  Not only was the convoy amazing, thousands of people in Amarillo lined the streets and the overpasses to celebrate and support these hard working truckers.

Plus from what I hear, a couple of fighter jets passed over as they were making their way through Amarillo.

It's always great to see the patriotism of our city when something like this rolls through town.

We all love our freedom and we love the fact that we have freedom speech.  This is just one way that we show it.  A peaceful protest trucking through the country.

That's the great way about America, these truckers were worried about their livelihood because of all the restrictions imposed due to COVID mandates, that they decided to speak out all across America as they make their way to Washington, D.C.  On the way they have the support of Americans, including the Americans in Amarillo, Texas.

I'm proud of our community and I'm proud of the patriotism we show when events like this come through the city.

If you have any pictures of the Patriot's Convoy coming through Amarillo, please share them with us.

In the meantime, enjoy these photos we were able to take from the event.
