An Amarillo School Teacher Is Competing on National TV Tonight
Tonight on ABC, a local elementary school teacher will be competing on the show "Holey Moely." The show is a mini-golf competition.
I've never seen "Holey Moley," but I might be convinced to give tonight's episode a watch considering Amarillo native Mollie Peterson will be on tonight. You've got to cheer on the home team...so to speak.
Mollie is a 4th grade teacher in Amarillo at Lakeview Elementary. Imagine starting school this week, and then seeing your new teacher on the tube. That really would have upped the "cool-factor" for a lot of my teachers.
According to a story from ABC7, Mollie had tried getting on "Wipeout," but never heard anything. Then out of the blue, a producer called her with this opportunity. Considering she played golf at WT, it was something she couldn't pass up.
In the story from ABC7, she says that she spent nine days filming. Filming took place at night, from 11p.m. until 7a.m.
While she was not able to share the results, she did talk about some of the challenges she faced.
The episode will air tonight on ABC at 7 p.m.
