So the other day while helping my mom and younger brother clean out the storage unit. We kept coming across stuff that I remember using all the time  growing up but my brother didn't remember using any of these item's. With us only being 3 years apart I being 24 and my brother being 21 it made me realize how lucky I was to grow up with these item's before they end up in the land fill.

So we will start with a easy one the payphone. Kids today will never know the feeling of finding loose change in your pocket and dialing in that number. And after doing some research there looks to be about 100,000 payphones still in the untied states today.

Encyclopedias

Next we have the the encyclopedias. These usually came as a set and was pretty much the google before google was around. After some research the encyclopedia Britannica ceased print production in 2010 with the 15th edition being the lasted printed edition.

Now I remember this TV fondly because up until about 5 years ago this was the TV that I had in my room. Now this TV had a remote you just need the rabbit ears to watch it. But I can't complain too much because the TV that my grand parents had growing up didn't have a remote and you had to manually change it to 1 of the 3 channels that they had.

Rotary Phones

I remember using these at my grandma's when I was growing up. They are not hard to use. Just slow to dial the number which isn't ideal if you need to call 911.

Cassettes and Walkman's

Now I loved my Walkman back in the day. I took it everywhere I went and the two cassettes I usually had playing in it was George Strait - Strait From The Heart or Metallica - Black. The only reason I stopped carrying it every where was because it finally gave out on me and my parents bought me a mp3 for my birthday
