On Tuesday, the Sod Poodles held a season ticket holder appreciation night. This is when they open up the ballpark and allow the people who are loyal enough fans that they purchased season passes to explore the ballpark (with the exception of a few restricted areas). The evening also included a showing of game one of the World Series.

I was there that night. And while I was there, I realized this would be an excellent time to grab a camera and snap some photos of the park to show what fans don't normally get to see or experience. So if you have had the itch to "look around" in places that are usually off limits....but you lack the season tickets that would have earned you a spot....check this out!

Check Out The Original Names For These Amarillo Streets

It's hard to imagine these well-known Amarillo streets as any other name. Try to imagine giving directions to someone while using their original names. Gets tricky, doesn't it?

The new names (that we currently know them by) came mostly from associates of Henry Luckett, who drew the first map of the area. When this took place exactly, records do not show, but the street name revamp is covered extensively in 'Old Town Amarillo' by Judge John Crudgington, published in the Plains Historical Review in 1957.
