Population growth in America is at its slowest point since the start of the baby boom in the 1940's the Census Bureau announced today.

The numbers referenced don't deal with birthrates.  The study is focused more on overall population growth through other avenues such as immigration.

Keeping in mind these are the counted immigrants and not those arriving illegally, the nation's population increased .92 percent from April 2010 to July 2010.

The District of Columbia had the greatest growth.  Texas was the largest growing state at 2.1%. This translates into 529,120 new Texans.
