Two Injured In Friday Night Stabbing, Investigation Continues
A Friday night stabbing incident sees three injured, leaving police to search for the truth among conflicting stories.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of Southwest 11th Avenue around 8:30pm, May 6th on a report of a fight and stabbing. Shortly after arriving at the scene officers discovered a 47-year-old man in the parking lot with stab wounds to his neck, chest, and left bicep. The victim reported to police he was stabbed by a 43-year-old man in the parking lot.
A 30-year-old woman was involved but the circumstances aren't clear. She did sustain a stab wound to the hand. Both had fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect and woman were being actively sought by Amarillo police when the couple checked themselves in to a local Emergency Room. The pair gave a conflicting account of the stabbing incident from that given by the victim and no arrests were made,.
The investigation continues.
