Trade-A-Thon Called For Jury Duty

On Saturdays around News Talk 940 we buy, sell, and trade.

It’s Trade-A-Thon presented by Damron’s Pawn.  We open up the phone lines and invite you to call in your classified listing.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they make their listing.  It provides a theme that ties together all our calls and helps us get to know the caller a bit better.  Sometimes topical and other times very random, this week it was inspired by the summons I got to appear at jury duty.

When was the last time you were called to appear for the jury?

Answers mostly ranged from 6 months to 5 years with one caller claiming to having not been summoned for over 10 years.

RULE #6

We go over the rules of the program at the beginning of each of our three hours.  Along with the five regular rules, I always bring you a special Rule #6 that changes every week.  Inspired this week by a conversation I had with a coworker.

We were discussing how some people around the office are intimidated by my rough demeanor and unkempt appearance.  He inadvertently confirmed all self image issues I’ve had since puberty.

RULE #6:  I may not be easy on the eyes but my look is at least, easy to maintain.
