Times Are Tough; Thieves Mining Old X-Ray Film For Silver

How difficult have the times gotten?  Not only are thieves harvesting copper from every possible source now some have taken to stealing old x-ray film to harvest the silver.

Two hospitals in Pennsylvania report missing x-ray film.  Most x-ray's these days do away with the film so these are old, soon to be destroyed films.

The film is washed with chemicals to extract the silver.

Hospital officials don't believe any identity information was included with the x-rays.
