Bluebonnets reign supreme in Texas every spring. At least, until it comes to what is actually in our gardens.

House Method decided to run the numbers and see what spring flowers are most popular in each state. They did this by looking at Google trends to see which flowers are searched the most.

In the state of Texas, while the bluebonnet is the queen of spring, the daisy is the one that most of us in the Lone Star State are trying to keep alive in our garden.

Daisies are a staple of the season. They grow all over in the wild. When I was a kid, they were always in our garden.

After doing a little digging, pardon the unintentional pun, I found that daisies are actually pretty easy to grow; which might be a main reason for them being so popular. One source I checked stated that once you get your daisies established, you won't have to do much to keep them blooming.

So this spring, while Instagram is blown up with pictures of people laying in "fields" of bluebonnets with puckered lips, our spring gardens will be covered in daisies.

Or, if you're up to it, you could just plant your own "field" of bluebonnets and have your own Instagram studio in your front yard.
